Esteemed Colleagues,

            Please accept this online portfolio in consideration for tenure and promotion to Associate Professor in the University of Montevallo Department of Theatre. In the following pages you will find the required components in the areas of Teaching, Scholarship, and Service.

            As a faculty member, I aim to demonstrate growth in each of these areas through self-reflection and feedback from peers and students. Narratives found in each section summarize these efforts and provide insight into my process of implementing best teaching practices, ongoing research and creative endeavors, and a commitment of service to the department, the college, the university, and the community. In addition, my continuing contributions to state and national Theatre initiatives will be included.

            It is my hope that this portfolio shows my dedication to the profession and to the education of young Theatre practitioners. I continually strive to support our students by designing engaging and informative courses, providing outside-the-classroom resources, and attending professional development workshops which allow me to reexamine best practices and current trends in the Theatre. In addition, I have maintained working relationships with several professional theatres around the country and have been successful in building a bridge between those organizations and recent UM graduates. I am constantly in contact with recent Theatre graduates and inform them of job openings and provide them with support through resources and guidance.
